Ordered to become the sacrificial bride to the angry Mountain Spirit, Chanteloup sets out on her journey up to the peaks where she’ll never see her sister or her village again.

Heartbroken and miserable on the journey, she finally meets the spirit they’ve always been taught about around the firepits in the longhouses. And meeting this Mountain Spirit will either make or break her. Whichever comes first.
